1. m. Acción de quitar o estorbar.
2. Esgr. Movimiento defensivo con que se detiene o evita el ofensivo.
3. Taurom. Suerte que ejecuta un torero, generalmente con el capote, para librar a otro del peligro en que se halla por la acometida del toro.
estar al quite, o a los quites. frs. Estar preparado para acudir en defensa de alguien.
ir al quite. fr. Acudir prontamente en defensa o auxilio de alguien, sobre todo en cosas de carácter moral.
no tener quite algo. fr. No tener remedio o forma de evitarse.
2. Ser muy difícil impugnarlo o resolverlo.
